Robert Ravnaas

Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder

Robert Ravnaas is Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder.  Previously, Mr. Ravnaas served as President of Cawley, Gillespie & Associates, Inc., a petroleum engineering firm, since 2011.  Prior to joining Cawley, Gillespie in 1983, he worked as a Production Engineer for Amoco Production Company from 1981 to 1983.  Mr. Ravnaas received a BS degree in Chemical Engineering, graduating with special honors, from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a MS degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.  He is a registered professional engineer in Texas and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.

R. Davis Ravnaas is President, Chief Financial Officer and Co-Founder.  He co-founded Kimbell’s predecessor, Rivercrest Royalties, LLC in October 2013 and served as Chief Financial Officer.  Previously, Mr. Ravnaas was an associate investment professional with Crestview Partners, a large New York-based private equity fund, where he was responsible for sourcing, evaluating and monitoring investments in energy and industrials companies.  He started his career as an analyst in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs in the natural resources group.  He holds an AB degree in Economics from Princeton University, an MSc degree in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.  He is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization and the Fort Worth Wildcatters.

Brett G. Taylor is Executive Vice Chairman of the Board and Co-Founder of Kimbell Royalty Partners.  Mr. Taylor began his career as a Petroleum Landman at Texas Oil and Gas Corporation in 1982 and joined Fortson Oil Company in 1985, where he served as Land Manager and Vice President until 1998.  Mr. Taylor then co-founded, with Joe B. Neuhoff, Neuhoff-Taylor Royalty Company to acquire producing royalties and minerals.  He has also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of various Taylor Companies since 1998.  In 1999, Mr. Taylor co-founded the Fort Worth Royalty Partners group with Robert Ravnaas, which was anchored by the Kimbell Art Foundation and Ben Fortson.  Mr. Taylor and Mr. Ravnaas led the acquisition and management of over $1 billion of mineral and royalty assets from 1998 to 2015, with an initial public offering of Kimbell Royalty Partners in 2017.  He holds a BBA-Petroleum Land Management degree from the University of Texas at Austin and an Associate’s degree in Science-Geology from South Plains College.  He is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen and the Fort Worth Wildcatters.

Brett G. Taylor

Executive Vice Chairman and Co-Founder

Brett G. Taylor is Executive Vice Chairman of the Board and Co-Founder of Kimbell Royalty Partners.  Mr. Taylor began his career as a Petroleum Landman at Texas Oil and Gas Corporation in 1982 and joined Fortson Oil Company in 1985, where he served as Land Manager and Vice President until 1998.  Mr. Taylor then co-founded, with Joe B. Neuhoff, Neuhoff-Taylor Royalty Company to acquire producing royalties and minerals.  He has also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of various Taylor Companies since 1998.  In 1999, Mr. Taylor co-founded the Fort Worth Royalty Partners group with Robert Ravnaas, which was anchored by the Kimbell Art Foundation and Ben Fortson.  Mr. Taylor and Mr. Ravnaas led the acquisition and management of over $1 billion of mineral and royalty assets from 1998 to 2015, with an initial public offering of Kimbell Royalty Partners in 2017.  He holds a BBA-Petroleum Land Management degree from the University of Texas at Austin and an Associate’s degree in Science-Geology from South Plains College.  He is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen and the Fort Worth Wildcatters.

Matthew S. Daly

Chief Operating Officer

Matthew S. Daly is Chief Operating Officer.  Mr. Daly joined Kimbell in September 2016 as Senior Vice President – Corporate Development.  Prior to joining Kimbell, Mr. Daly spent 11 years in investment management, most recently at Kleinheinz Capital Partners, Inc. and Hirzel Capital Management, LLC, two Texas-based investment firms each with over $1 billion in assets under management, where he helped manage both the public and private energy investments.  He was also Chairman of Delta Biofuels, Inc., a portfolio company of Kleinheinz Capital Partners, Inc.  Prior to this, Mr. Daly was an investment banker at Wasserstein Perella & Co. in New York City and later Lazard Frères & Co., where he was a Vice President in the Mergers and Acquisitions group. Within this role, he advised on transactions totaling over $10 billion in value including acquisitions, divestitures, corporate restructurings and special committee assignments relating to takeover defense.  He began his career at Arthur Andersen LLP in Dallas.  He has a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the Booth School at the University of Chicago.

Matthew S. Blayne Rhynsburger

Controller

Blayne Rhynsburger is Controller.  Previously, he held positions at Whitley Penn LLP in the Audit department from 2008 to 2015, where he specialized in energy clients in the public and private sectors.  Mr. Rhynsburger has also served as an adjunct professor of Petroleum Accounting in the graduate school at Texas Christian University’s Neeley School of Business since 2015.  He is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas and a member of the Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies.  Mr. Rhynsburger received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Finance and a Master of Accounting degree from Texas Christian University.

Blayne Rhynsburger

Controller

Rand Ravnaas is Vice President of Business Development and served in the same role at its predecessor, Rivercrest Royalties, LLC, which he co-founded in 2013.  Mr. Ravnaas is responsible for acquisitions due diligence, business development and maintaining relationships with over 300 payors.  He started his career in 2012 with his family run oil and gas company, Westside Energy, LLC, where he has acquired various mineral and non-operated working interests nationwide.  Mr. Ravnaas holds a Finance and Management degree from Georgetown University and a Petroleum Land Management degree from Texas Christian University.

Rand Ravnaas is Vice President of Business Development and served in the same role at its predecessor, Rivercrest Royalties, LLC, which he co-founded in 2013.  Mr. Ravnaas is responsible for acquisitions due diligence, business development and maintaining relationships with over 300 payors.  He started his career in 2012 with his family run oil and gas company, Westside Energy, LLC, where he has acquired various mineral and non-operated working interests nationwide.  Mr. Ravnaas holds a Finance and Management degree from Georgetown University and a Petroleum Land Management degree from Texas Christian University.

Andrew Cardwell

Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations

Andrew Cardwell is Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations.  He began his career as an investment banking analyst in New York, gaining experience in leveraged finance, debt capital markets origination, and M&A advisory.  After spending four years on Wall Street, Andrew joined McCombs Partners, the private investment arm of the Red McCombs family office in San Antonio, Texas.  During his eight years working for McCombs Partners, Mr. Cardwell led the analytical evaluation and due diligence process for new investment opportunities, monitored McCombs portfolio company performance, and assisted management teams in the structuring / execution of growth capital financings across a broad range of industry sectors.  Prior to joining Kimbell, Andrew served as Director of Corporate Development at TSS, a Fort Worth-based operating company focused on proppant supply chain logistics, where he managed corporate forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic growth initiatives.  Mr. Cardwell grew up in Houston, Texas and holds a BS in Commerce (Finance and Management concentration) from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.

Daniel C. Przyojski, Jr.

Vice President of Acquisitions

Daniel Przyojski is Vice President of Acquisitions.  Previously, Mr. Przyojski served as Land Manager and General Counsel for Taylor Companies and Mr. Brett Taylor.  He advised various clients’ acquisition and due diligence efforts and played an integral role in preparing Kimbell Royalty Partners for its initial public offering.  He started his career as an Independent Petroleum Landman in South Texas, served as a Crew Chief for multiple brokers, and was responsible for managing several large energy clients.  Mr. Przyojski holds a BA in English with an emphasis in Practical Writing from Western Michigan University and a JD from St. Mary’s University School of Law.  He is licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.

Peter Alcorn is Vice President of Land and served in the same role at its predecessor, Rivercrest Royalties, LLC.  Prior to joining Rivercrest in 2015, he worked for Fort Worth-based Jetta Operating Company, Inc. as a landman in the Permian Basin.  Earlier, he was an in-house landman for Chesapeake Exploration, LLC, where he managed leasing, title and permitting efforts on more than 185 producing wells in North Texas.  Mr. Alcorn began his career in 2006 with Dale Resources, LLC where he served in a variety of roles.  He holds a BS in Economics with an emphasis in Finance from Southern Methodist University.  He is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen.

Jamie Hayes is Director of Financial Reporting and Human Resources.  Prior to joining Kimbell Royalty Partners LP in 2017, Mrs. Hayes worked in financial reporting for Oklahoma City-based SandRidge Energy Inc., an oil and natural gas exploration and production company, from 2012 to 2017.  She also held positions at Eide Bailly LLP in the Audit Department from 2007 to 2012.  Mrs. Hayes received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Central Oklahoma.

Director of Financial Reporting and Human Resources

Jamie Hayes is Director of Financial Reporting and Human Resources.  Prior to joining Kimbell Royalty Partners LP in 2017, Mrs. Hayes worked in financial reporting for Oklahoma City-based SandRidge Energy Inc., an oil and natural gas exploration and production company, from 2012 to 2017.  She also held positions at Eide Bailly LLP in the Audit Department from 2007 to 2012.  Mrs. Hayes received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Central Oklahoma.

Ben Fortson was appointed as a director in November 2015, with six decades of experience in the oil and gas industry.  Mr. Fortson has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Fortson Oil Company since 1986, Mr. Fortson has also served as Chief Investment Officer of the Kimbell Art Foundation since 1975 and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the foundation since 1964.  Mr. Fortson holds a BA degree from Texas Christian University.

Director

Ben Fortson was appointed as a director in November 2015, with six decades of experience in the oil and gas industry.  Mr. Fortson has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Fortson Oil Company since 1986, Mr. Fortson has also served as Chief Investment Officer of the Kimbell Art Foundation since 1975 and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the foundation since 1964.  Mr. Fortson holds a BA degree from Texas Christian University.

Mitch S. Wynne

Mr. Wynne has been engaged in the oil and gas industry since 1980.  Since that time, and over the course of his career, Mr. Wynne’s activities have included the formation and management of privately held companies and partnerships, directly engaged or investing in oil and gas exploration and development operations, oil and gas royalty and mineral property acquisitions, management and divestitures, and oil and gas leasehold activities and divestitures.  Mr. Wynne has served as President/Owner of Exploration Investments, LLC, Wynne Petroleum Co., Wynne Operating Co., and MSW Royalties, LLC.  Mr. Wynne has served on the boards of the Fort Worth Zoological Association, Millers Mutual Insurance, Inspire Insurance Solutions, Union Gospel Mission of Fort Worth, and the Board of Trustees of All Saints’ Episcopal School.  Mr. Wynne received a BA degree from Washington and Lee University in 1980.

T. Scott Martin

Director

T. Scott Martin was appointed a director in November 2015.  He has served as Chief Executive Officer of our predecessor, Rivercrest Royalties, LLC, from July 2014 until our IPO and Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of EE3 LLC since 2011.  Mr. Martin has also been serving as Non-Executive Chairman of Bear Mountain Resources II LLC since September of 2017 and Director of Evergreen Natural Resources since March of 2019.  Mr. Martin founded Ellora Energy LLC in 1995 and served in senior management roles until 2010.  Earlier, he held senior executive positions with Alta Energy Corporation, TPEX Exploration, Inc., and was a consulting engineer at BWAB, Inc.  He began his career in 1979 at Amoco Production Company.  Mr. Martin holds a BA degree in Biology from Colorado College and a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder.  He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the Independent Petroleum Association of America.

T. Scott Martin

T. Craig Stone*

Director

Craig Stone was appointed as a director in January 2017.  He was an audit partner at Ernst & Young until his retirement in 2015.  During his 30 year-career with Ernst & Young, he also served as the Fort Worth Office Managing Partner and led the firm’s North Texas Energy practice.  His experience includes numerous initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and financing transactions in both the equity and debt markets.  Mr. Stone is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Texas and graduated from Abilene Christian University.

Bill Adams was appointed as a director in January 2017.  He has served as chairman and a principal owner of Texas Appliance Supply, Inc., a wholesale and retail distribution company, since 2007.  Previously, Mr. Adams had a 25-year career in commercial and energy banking, most recently as Executive Regional President of Texas Bank in Fort Worth, before retiring in 2006.  He also served as President of Frost Bank-Arlington.  Mr. Adams currently serves on the Board of Directors of Morningstar Partners, a private oil and gas company based in Fort Worth, Texas.  Prior to its sale to Exxon Mobil Corporation in 2010, he served on the board of directors of XTO Energy Inc., where he chaired the Compensation, Corporate Governance and Nominating committees.  Mr. Adams received a BBA degree in Finance from Texas Tech University.

Erik B. Daugbjerg*

Erik Daugbjerg was appointed as a director in April 2018.  Mr. Daugbjerg has more than twenty years of experience in upstream and midstream energy companies, including founding roles at two oil and gas operators based in the Permian Basin.  Prior to Concho Resources, Inc.’s acquisition of RSP Permian, Inc. in July 2018, Mr. Daugbjerg served as the Executive Vice President of Land and Business Development of RSP Permian, Inc., a role to which he was appointed in March 2017.  Starting in 2010, Mr. Daugbjerg served in various other roles for RSP Permian, Inc. and its affiliates, including Vice President of Business Development and Vice President of Marketing.  Mr. Daugbjerg has a Bachelor in Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University and is active with several Texas energy industry organizations.  Mr. Daugbjerg was selected to serve as a director because of his broad knowledge of, and extensive experience in, the oil and gas industry.
